ShipXpress Acquires RailSync™ Software System For Shortline Railroads

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 19, 2007) – ShipXpress, a leading provider of web-based rail logistics software and services, has acquired the RailSync rail operations management system for shortline railroads from Railinc, the information technology subsidiary of the American Association of Railroads (AAR).

RailSync includes three separate applications to manage daily railroad operations, track daily car hire expenses, create EDI transactions, and generate Interline Settlement Systems transactions from waybill creation through concurrence and settlement. The applications, which are accessed via the Internet from any PC, can be implemented as an integrated suite or installed modularly for independent processing.
