| JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 12, 2007) – South Carolina Public
Railways has implemented the ShipXpress RailSync® transportation
management system to automate its rail operations processing,
ShipXpress announced today. South Carolina Public Railways, located in Charleston, is the first new rail operation to adopt the RailSync system since it was acquired by ShipXpress. South Carolina Public Railways successfully completed the transition to the RailSync system in September. “I evaluated all of the options and found that RailSync was very efficient, very cost-effective and, by far, the easiest system to use,” said Jimmy Stuart, South Carolina Public Railways Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Finance. “ShipXress customer service is very good and our transition to RailSync was very smooth and quick. That the transition went so smoothly underscores just how easy it is to use the RailSync product.” Ease of use was a primary concern to Stuart, whose South Carolina Public Railways is a holding company for one freight railroad and two switching railroads that serve the Port of Charleston. "South Carolina Public Railways is a progressive company that sees the benefit of using advanced technology to improve productivity in its operations," ShipXpress Chief Executive Officer Charith Perera said. The application was fully migrated to the ShipXpress platform in late August.
